(Milwaukee) – The Boerke Company, a commercial real estate brokerage firm in Milwaukee, won two Wisconsin Real Estate Deal of the Year Awards at the annual awards ceremony held at the Historic Pfister Hotel by the Commercial Association of Realtors Wisconsin (CARW). The 2014 Office Deal of the Year went to the 164,800 square-foot office building purchased by Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin. The building was owned and occupied by Reader’s Digest (Reiman Publications). The Boerke Company’s Jack Price represented Goodwill and Andrew Jensen represented Reiman Publications in the sale. “The deal was unique because of the Chinese Wall that had to go up at our office between Jack and I”, said Jensen. “Having both sides of a large deal like this being represented at The Boerke Company was one of the many obstacles that had to be hurdled to get the absolute best deal for both parties, and in the end, Goodwill found a perfect new home to consolidate their offices”.

The other Boerke Company Deal of the Year win was for the Construction category, where Jeff Hoffman represented Stella & Chewy’s, an all-natural pet food supplier, for a 164,007 square-foot build-to-suit in Oak Creek, WI. “Stella & Chewy’ s has been a rapidly growing company over the past few years”, said Hoffman. “Being able to be part of such a great company as they grow and move into a brand new building, then have the deal recognized as the Construction Deal of the Year across Wisconsin is really something special.”
