Rendering of the Costco Store Planned for Pleasant Prairie

(New Berlin, WI)Costco Wholesale Corporation has finalized the purchase of over 15 acres of land at the north east corner of Moorland Road and Grange Avenue in New Berlin. “It was great to see this site close and with Costco as the buyer,” said The Boerke Company’s Andy Fishler, who represented the seller in the transaction. “Costco had interest in this site in the past, even as far back as 2010, so for them to end up being the eventual buyer shows how long certain transactions can take and in the long run, this site will be a home run for Costco.”

“Costco has wanted to expand in the Wisconsin market for some time, and has opened stores incrementally and done quite well with them,” said Brian Riordan, who also represented the seller. “Back when Costco secured the Pewaukee site, this New Berlin site fell off their radar, but when we took the listing on a little over a year ago, they were one of our first calls, especially with their reborn interest in New Berlin and Southeastern Wisconsin.”  The site will be the future home of Costco’s New Berlin store, which was originally planned for a fall 2015 opening. It is unclear if the store will still be on track to open this coming fall or not. The Boerke Company’s Brian Riordan, Andy Fishler, and Kevin Riordan all represented the seller in the transaction.
