Former Irish Rec Room Now For Sale

The former Irish Rec Room, an over 13,000 square-foot restaurant and bar located at 1023 N. Old World 3rd Street, is now being marketed for sale by our very own Kristian Sydow.

The building is located in between the Bradley Center on N 4th Street and night-life centric Water Street. “Having a clean, virtually turn-key space with two spacious bars and a 3,500 square-foot rooftop deck with awesome city views are definitely great amenities to have for a downtown restaurant and bar ,” said listing broker Sydow. “If an owner or owner/operator came in here with an attractive dining and social concept they could really do some big numbers here.”

The site recently had over $1.5 million in extensive improvements done, that included work on the rooftop deck, kitchen, and party room space. The property has been operated under a few different names the past few years, with Bootleggers going out for the more recent Irish Rec Room, which closed this past spring.

“Being so close to the Bradley Center, Cellular Arena, Water Street, other successful businesses like Mader’s and the new Aloft Hotel, as well as Manpower’s World Headquarters are some definite advantages for this property,” Sydow added. “With the growth of the restaurant and night life scene in Downtown Milwaukee, I expect something good to happen here.”

The Boerke Company, a Cushman & Wakefield Global Alliance member, has the property currently listed for sale at $1.475 million.
