(MILWAUKEE) –The people of Shorewood may once again have a chance to frequent the pub that was twice voted best suburban bar by OnMilwaukee.com readers. The local favorite has recently been sold to a seasoned local bar/restaurant group in Milwaukee, effectively breathing new life into a pub that enjoyed over fifty years of success serving food and spirits before closing its doors in July, 2014.

Located on 4488 N. Oakland Avenue, The pub has always been a well-known part of the Shorewood neighborhood, according to Kristian Sydow of The Boerke Company who brokered the transaction. “For people who live in Shorewood, The Village Pub is known as a friendly place to hang your hat- a place like Cheers where everyone knows your name. We are honored to be able to support this transaction, which is a big step toward bringing back a beloved establishment for the Shorewood community,” he said.
