Wisconsin has been named a Regional Technology and Innovation Hub

November 7, 2023

Wisconsin has been named a Regional Technology and Innovation Hub and received a Strategy Grant award. This distinction is highly competitive as it opens the doors for millions of dollars in federal funding and private investment. Wisconsin is among 31 regions that were selected out of 471 applications.

The Regional Tech Hub designation supports efforts to generate new technologies and improve care pathways while growing Wisconsin’s personalized medicine, bio health, precision manufacturing, and automation industries.

University of Wisconsin–Madison is thrilled to continue collaboration with BioForward Wisconsin and receive recognition for their world-class research and commitment to healthcare technology innovation. 85% of graduates within the Master of Science in Biotechnology program remain in Wisconsin after graduation.

Velocity Station, located off the beltway in Madison, is a great example of the expansion and investments being made to support Wisconsin’s commitment to becoming a leading force within Biohealth and personalized medicine.
